PetPace Smart Health Collar Reaches Chewy: Pet Wearables Move Beyond GPS
SMART PET DEVICES & US RETAIL
Pet wearables are moving from “where is my dog?” toward “is my pet’s physiology changing?”—and a new Chewy listing puts that shift in front of a mainstream US customer base.
What the launch adds
PetPace announced on 6 October 2026 that its Smart Health Monitoring Collar is available through Chewy for dogs and cats. According to the company, the collar continuously tracks pulse, respiration, temperature, heart-rate variability, activity, sleep, calories and posture. It also includes GPS, a configurable safe zone, Apple Watch access and subscription-based veterinary telemedicine.
The important market signal is the combination of location, physiological sensing, behavioural data and service access in one product. That raises the bar for suppliers: the hardware is no longer judged only on battery life and GPS accuracy, but also on fit, sensor contact, data continuity and the credibility of alerts.

What a private-label buyer should verify
For US-market smart pet product sourcing, medical-sounding claims require extra care. A supplier’s “AI health alert” should not be treated as clinically validated without evidence. Buyers should separate wellness monitoring from regulated diagnostic claims and review app privacy, data retention and subscription terms.
Smart collar RFQ checklist
- List each sensor and the measurement conditions, rather than accepting a generic “health monitoring” claim.
- Request battery-life tests with GPS and continuous monitoring enabled.
- Define collar sizes, weight, waterproofing, charging method and chew resistance.
- Audit iOS/Android support, cloud location, account deletion and firmware-update policy.
- Plan customer support for false alerts, lost connectivity and subscription cancellation.
