Where a moving camera may help
Pets and everyday movement
A low viewpoint offers a different perspective from a handheld phone. Review complete sample footage for the subject and surroundings you expect to record.
Solo activity recording
Following footage may help when there is no second operator. Check how tracking starts, how it recovers and when a person must intervene.
A complementary angle
Low-angle filming does not replace every eye-level or overhead shot. Choose the camera setup around the shot you need.
Product appearance and accessory options

PetaPixel’s July 8 overview discusses the autonomous-camera idea and low camera-height limits. In a July 20 Tom’s Guide experience, the author reported appealing tracking footage but also interruptions and collisions with fixed objects requiring intervention. Campaign status and planned shipping
Checked September 9, 2026: the campaign ended September 6; its public page showed over US$4.6 million pledged by more than 7,400 backers. These figures measure crowdfunding commitments, not completed deliveries. Campaign source.
The creator’s September 7 FAQ plans dispatch from mid-October for full-pay backers, with around 20 business days in transit. Installment backers are scheduled for dispatch after their final November 6 payment clears. These are creator estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates or TUOLAN delivery promises. Local recording and connected features
The manufacturer describes core following and filming as on-device functions. Its September 4 privacy policy separately explains that selected features, such as uploading, sharing, support requests and cloud-connected processing, may transmit content depending on settings. Local recording should not be interpreted as a promise that all product data always stays offline. Official privacy policy.

Imaging questions for product teams
The following is a general optical-project checklist, not Beni’s internal design or bill of materials.
- Define the subject, working distance, field of view and sensor interface.
- Agree application-specific image-quality, edge-detail and distortion criteria.
- Provide representative lighting and environmental conditions.
- Review protective-window and mechanical-interface requirements.
- Agree sample tests, inspection documents and acceptance criteria.
For a separate custom imaging project, explore TUOLAN’s optical components and assemblies. Suitability must be reviewed for the actual application.
