OPTICS · INDUSTRY ANALYSIS

Isuzu Glass’s 8 October notice announces participation in Photonics Innovation 2026 in Yokohama. Its current molded-glass array portfolio gives component buyers a useful preparation point for technical discussions.

An upcoming exhibition, with an existing portfolio

The company’s official news list dates the exhibition announcement to 8 October. Its event page lists Photonics Innovation for 10–12 November 2026. This is an upcoming event notice, not confirmation of a newly released lens model.

The manufacturer’s array page describes mold-pressed integrated arrays, including microlens and double-sided designs. Published example dimensions are references subject to the design and conditions, rather than universal production guarantees.

Define both surfaces and their relationship

For glass lens and optical component procurement, provide a drawing that specifies substrate, array pitch, usable area and surface form. A double-sided array also needs an agreed relationship between the two surfaces and their optical axes.

Ask which measurements apply to the individual cells and which apply to the full plate. Review the effects of edge cells, defects and thickness variation using representative samples.

Review tooling and coating together

Discuss prototype quantity, mold ownership, change control and the approval sequence before a production quotation. Define any coating requirements against the actual glass and finished geometry.

TUOLAN can review an original component specification for sourcing. This analysis does not imply an Isuzu Glass distributorship or that its reference specifications apply to TUOLAN products.

Buyer RFQ checklist

  • Define the glass, cell geometry and relationship between both surfaces.
  • Separate full-plate acceptance from individual-cell measurements.
  • Agree mold ownership, prototype approval and coating requirements.
