Schneider-Kreuznach’s VISION 2026 portfolio highlights two separate demands on industrial lenses: covering larger sensors and imaging beyond the visible band.

What the manufacturer presents

The official VISION 2026 page introduces PEARL and CHROMITE, extends AMBER and describes TEKTITE demonstration lenses planned for 2027. PEARL is positioned for line-scan and area-scan imaging. CHROMITE is described as a C-mount design covering 400–1800 nm without refocusing.

The page does not state a publication date. This update uses the recent exhibition as its context and does not imply that every family is newly launched or immediately available.

Specify sensor coverage and sampling separately

For industrial optical component sourcing, state the active sensor dimensions and pixel pitch alongside the field of view. Covering a sensor is one requirement; preserving useful contrast at its sampling frequency is another. Ask for centre and edge performance under the intended aperture and working distance.

A wide wavelength range needs a defined test

For a multispectral application, request focal-shift and transmission measurements over the bands actually used. Include the detector and illumination in sample validation. A manufacturer’s specified range for one lens cannot be transferred to an unrelated assembly.

Review project-specific optical coatings with the same wavelength and incidence-angle requirements. Decide which surfaces need antireflection treatment and how the assembled optical path will be accepted.
